Hezbollah museum to host Iran’s workshops on resistance art
TEHRAN, Aug. 7 (MNA) -- Iran’s International Arts Festival of Resistance will hold workshops at the Mleeta Resistance Landmark, Hezbollah’s museum in southern Lebanon, from August 16 to 19.
“After holding an exhibition of fine arts in Gaza, we decided to hold workshops in Lebanon and elswhere. The secretary of the sculpture section Taher Sheikholhokamaii and festival official Mostafa Gudarzi attended the event and participated in the discussions,” the director of the international section of the festival Ehsan Khazali told the Persian service of IRNA.
There are plans to hold workshops and exhibitions in North Korea, Syria, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Britain in the near future, he added.
“Artists from host countries will join the events to create artworks on the theme of the festival,” he added.
Mleeta is located in Mount A’mil and is part of the village of Iqlim al Tuffah.
The second edition of the International Arts Festival of Resistance will be held in December 2011 in Tehran and other cities.
