New lead in Sydney fake bomb case

SYDNEY (AAP) - Aug. 07 - Police may have a new lead in the fake bomb case that terrified a teenager in Sydney's lower north shore.
Madeleine Pulver spent 10 hours in her Mosman home with a hoax bomb attached to her neck, reportedly with a bicycle chain.
The hunt continues for the balaclava-clad man who surprised her inside the family's mansion in the exclusive harbourside suburb about 2pm (AEST) on Wednesday.
Channel Nine reports that staff at Mosman's Buena Vista Hotel noticed a man dressed in dark clothing acting anxiously on Wednesday afternoon.
When police cars sped past the hotel towards the Pulvers' home, the man reportedly became more stressed and ran out.
Footage from the hotel's security cameras shows the man.
A spokeswoman for police could not confirm the new lead when contacted by AAP.
