Iran drawn in tough group in Asian Handball Championship
TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (MNA) -- Iran has been drawn in Group A of the 15th Asian Men's Handball Championship.
The draw of the 15th Asian Men's Handball Championship held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Iran was drawn along with South Korea (eight-time champion), Kuwait (four-time champion), Japan (two-time champion) and Jordan in Group A.
Group B consists of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE and Uzbekistan.
Top three team of the event will qualify for the 2013 IHF World Handball Championship in Spain.
The 15th Asian Men's Handball Championship will be staged in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from January 26 to February 08, 2012.
