Iranian young wrestlers win Asian championship
TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (MNA) -- Iranian youngsters won the 2011 Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday.
The Iranian team clinched the wrestling championship after four years. The team claimed five gold medals, two silvers and two bronzes and scored 90 points in the event.
India finished at the second place with 81 points followed by Kazakhstan with 69 points.
On Friday, Iranian youth Greco-Roman wrestlers finished at the second place in Bangkok.
The Asian Wrestling Championships brought about 350 wrestlers from 20 countries together in Bangkok, Thailand.
