FINE WINE INVESTMENT ATTRACTING HUGE INTEREST FROM ASIAN INVESTORS

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The fast growing demand for fine wines in
Asia is expected to put more pressure on the already small amount of wines that
can be produced and increase the global interest in fine wine investment,
particularly Asian investors.

Australian wine-focused alternative investment company, Vineyards Direct
Malaysia Sdn Bhd said the demand for fine wines has exploded in the past five
years, given the limited supply all over the world.

"As a relatively new market for fine wines, Asia, particularly China,
will be witnessing a boom while wine auctions will continue to see impressive
currencies being exchanged," the company's Director of Operations Vineyards
Direct, David Spencer said in a statement Monday.

He added with highly-rated wines on the auction lists selling more than four
times the estimated prices, the investments made today will bring impressive
returns over the next decade.

"The increasing interest in wine investments as alternative investment
options is attractive to those who want to invest in something tangible and
those with a long-term view," Spencer said.
