Iran's Rafsanjani advises reporters to follow code of conduct
TEHRAN, Aug. 9 (MNA) – Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, in a message issued on the occasion of national Reporter's Day, advised reporters to avoid basing their news reports on rumors, lies, and false allegations.
He also said that concealing and distorting realities will undermine people’s confidence in officials and domestic media and will encourage them to turn to foreign media outlets.
He added that a true reporter should try to raise people’s awareness to facilitate the country’s progress.
