Iranian thespian to hold workshops at Taiwanese university
TEHRAN, Aug. 9 (MNA) -- Iranian stage actor and director Yasser Khaseb will be holding workshops at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan.
Khaseb will hold a series of workshops in mid august during a six-hour session at the university’s hall.
“Taiwanese theater experts were acquainted with the techniques of the Crazy Body Theater Troupe, so they invited us to hold workshops for students,” Khaseb told the Iran Theater website.
Yasser Khaseb is the head of the Crazy Body Theater Troupe, which specializes in contemporary mime and dance, choreography, physical theater, martial arts, wushu and puppet performances.
The workshops will be held on the sidelines of some mimic and physical theater performances in a modern way, he said.
“In this way, students will learn how their body can transfer concepts via feeling, imagination and corporeal memory,” he added.
“Mud”, “Motherland” and “Mysterious Gifts: Theater of Iran” are among Khaseb’s credits.
