Tehran gallery to hang works by Austrian photographer
TEHRAN, Aug. 9 (MNA) -- Tehran's Shirin Gallery will host a photo exhibition by the Austrian photographer Kurt Hörbst from August 10 to 17.
Photos he has taken in Ecuador, Bangladesh and Austria will go on display during the showcase that will be opened with a ceremony on Wednesday.
The opening ceremony will be attended by several artists and officials including the Austrian ambassador to Tehran Thomas M. Buchsbaum.
Hörbst will also attend a meeting at the Central Book City to discuss his photography techniques and display selected artworks on Thursday.
Kurt Hörbst originally studied telecommunications however he began to study in the field of photography in Prague in 1992.
Kurt founded a school of photography in Austria in 1996 and now teaches history of photojournalism at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.
His works have appeared in numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad.
