Iran extends intl. workshops on resistance art

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (MNA) -- Iran’s International Arts Festival of Resistance plans to hold workshops in different Asian and European countries.

Syria, Turkey, British and France will host workshops on resistance art in the near future, the secretary of the festival Habibollah Sadeqi told the Persian service of IRNA.

The Mleeta Resistance Landmark, Hezbollah’s museum in southern Lebanon, will host the festival’s workshops from August 16 to 19.

Syria and Lebanon, as pioneers of Islamic resistance, were targeted first for holding the workshops, he said.

Due to the anti-Zionist sentiment prevailing within the Turkish nation, Turkey will also host the exhibitions and workshops held by the festival, Sadeqi added.

“We also conducted negotiations with members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for holding workshops in those countries,” he said.

China, Indonesia and Malaysia are other countries would be other destinations for the festival, he added.

The second edition of the International Arts Festival of Resistance will be held in December 2011 in Tehran and other cities.
