Party Secretary General visits Savannakhet

(KPL) On 16 September, Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, Secretary-General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and State President, visited Savannakhet province and was warmly received by provincial governor Vilayvanh Phomkhe, provincial authorities, military officers and local people.
During the visit, Mr. Choummaly met with veteran military officers, senior officials of the local branch of the Lao Front for National Construction, and provincial authorities. He was also briefed about the situation in the central province, especially the social-economic development, national defence and security affairs. He then talked about the traditional patriotism of the local people and the history of co-ordination in the national protection against imperialist aggressors.
Mr. Choummaly has asked the provincial authorities to further provide the guideline and good leadership in order to implement successfully the social-economic development plan and budget plan for the last 6 months.
Mr. Choummaly said the local authorities and people had developed their good traditions, expanded their patriotism and trust in the leadership of the Party and government, bringing security and better living conditions to the province.
Mr. Choummaly stressed that the most importance for the province was to strengthen the grass root building, village building and village cluster building.
