NO NEW REPORT OF OTHER MALAYSIANS AFFECTED IN LONDON

          KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- There is no new report of other Malaysians
being affected by the unrest in London as at the end of Wednesday, Foreign
Minister Anifah Aman said Thursday.
    
    He said that the ministry had been monitoring the situation in London and
other cities in the United Kingdom since the breakout of riots in Tottenham on
Saturday.
    
    "The present situation across the United Kingdom can be termed as generally
calm even though the fear of violence has not fully subsided," he said in a
statement.
    
    Anifah has advised Malaysian citizens and students to exercise caution
and avoid the affected areas until the situation returns to normal as well as to
follow any instructions issued by the local authorities.
    
    On Monday, Muhammad Ashraf Haziq Rosli, 20, who is a first-year accounting
student at Kaplan College sponsored by Mara, lost several front teeth and broke
his jaw when he was attacked and mugged by looters during a riot when he and his
friend were cycling home for the breaking of fast.
