Chinese festival to screen Iran’s “Shekarestan”
TEHRAN, Aug. 14 (MNA) -- The 8th edition of the Changzhou International Animation and Digital Arts Festival will be screening one episode of “Shekarestan”, the acclaimed Iranian animation on Persian proverbs.
Directed by Babak Nazari, the 44th episode of the series entitled “A Dreamer and the Oil Jar” will be shown at the Chinese festival, which will be running from August 24 to 31 in the city of Changzhou.
The 90-episode animation was produced by Tehran’s Art Bureau.
This is the second international appearance of the series. It was previously shown in Italy.
“Shekarestan”, which is currently being broadcast on state TV channel 2, has so far received several national awards.
