PRESIDENT VISITS MICRO INDUSTRIES IN MAJENANG, CENTRAL JAVA

Purwokerto, C Java, Sept.18 (ANTARA)- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono are expected to visit handicraft industries in Majenang subdistrict, Cilacap district, Central Java province on Thursday.
The president's visit to Majenang subdistrict is part of his
three-day Ramadhan fasting month tour covering several cities in Central Java and West Java provinces from September 17 to 19.
The president and entourage were also scheduled to meet tens of handicraft businessmen for a dialogue and extend 1,000 packages of staple foods for the local people.
The head of state on Wednesday left Jakarta by train for Cirebon in West Java to meet with the local fishermen and then proceeded to Purwokerto (Central Java) to attend a commemoration of "Nuzul Qur'an" (revelation of the Koran to the Prophet Muhammad) function on Wednesday night.
After that the president and his entourage will continue the visit to the cities of Tasikmalaya and Bandung by car on Friday before returning to Jakarta on Friday night.
