PM NAJIB VISITS BERNAMA TO BREAK FAST WITH MEDIA
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak Monday visited the Malaysian National News Agency, Bernama, for a breaking-of-the-fast with the media hosted by the news agency.
Najib, who arrived at Wisma Bernama at 6.40 pm, was accompanied by his wife, Rosmah Mansor, and their children, Norashman Razak and Nooryana Najwa.
They were greeted upon arrival by Information, Communications and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim and his wife Masnah Rais, Bernama chairman Abdul Rahman Sulaiman, general manager Hasnul Hassan, editor-in-chief Yong Soo Heong and senior editors.
Najib is scheduled to visit the Editorial Department on the first floor and attend a briefing given by Yong on the editorial operations before touring the office and meeting the staff.
The prime minister is also scheduled to visit Bernama Radio24, the country's first all-news radio which broadcasts on 93.9FM, at the 15th floor before attending the breaking-of-the-fast with the agency's senior management, senior editors of the mainstream media, foreign journalists based in Kuala Lumpur and bloggers at the ninth floor.
Najib had attended breaking-of-the-fast with the media previously, at Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad and The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad (NSTP).
