DPM SENDS ENCOURAGING MESSAGE TO MALAYSIAN STUDENT ASYRAF HAZIQ
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 (Bernama) - Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin
praised Mohamed Ashraf Haziq Rössli, the student assaulted and robbed in London
recently, for not harbouring ill feelings towards the assailants and wanting to
continue studies.
In a courier message to Ashraf Haziq, Muhyiddin and wife Noorainee Abdul
Rahman expressed sorrow for the accident that befell the Malaysian students as
he had only been there for just one month.
While praying for Ashraf Haziq's quick recovery after surgery, the couple
said: "We are proud of Ashraf Haziq for his perseverance and courage in facing
Allah's test during Ramadan."
The Deputy Prime Minister and wife prayed that Ashraf Haziq would use the
experience to spur him in the acquisition of knowledge.
Ashraf Haziq, 20, a first year student in accountancy at Kaplan College,
London is sponsored by Mara.
