ALL SHOULD EXPLORE POTENTIALS IN HALAL INDUSTRY
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 (Bernama) -- Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Mukhriz Mahathir has called on all parties to explore potentials in the halal industry, saying that it promises huge returns.
"Awareness about this industry has risen to a level where foreign companies are very keen to venture into this field.
"They come to Malaysia to learn methods and they also recognise Malaysia's certification and so on," he told reporters after breaking fast with orphans and senior citizens here Monday.
For the entrepreneurs, the halal industry would give them profits not only for this world but also the hereafter, he said.
The breaking of fast was hosted by the Halal Industry Development
Corporation.
