DEVELOP CREATIVITY, YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS URGED

SUBANG JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia), Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Mukhriz Mahathir has urged young entrepreneurs to develop creativity, innovative and additional skills to compete aggressively globally.

"It's the government's aim to engage the young generation to continue to realise our nation's Vision 2020.

"We need to muster as much creativity as we can to achieve developed nation status," he said after officiating at the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Creative Young Entrepreneur Award 2011 (JCI CYEA) Top 10 Finalist Revealing Ceremony here on Wednesday.

Besides meeting the people's needs, Mukhriz said young entrepreneurs must be able to create the needs, an effort that requires much innovation and creativity.

JCI CYEA is a project of JCI Malaysia and hosted by JCI Petaling Jaya that celebrates young entrepreneurs, aged between 18 and 40, who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses.

Three winners will be named for JCI CYEA 2011 on Sept 26. They will join national winners globally for the World JCI CYEA 2011 in Belgium in November.
