Willoughby wins BMX time trial
Australian Sam Willoughby won the time trial on day one of the BMX Supercross round in London, which is doubling as the Olympic test event.
The South Australian clocked 42.625 seconds to finish ahead of French world champion Joris Daudet (42.767), while Australian Brian Kirkham was 11th in 45.074.
Bunbury, WA rider Lauren Reynolds won silver in the women's time trial.
She clocked 40.170 and was only 44 thousandths of a second behind French rider Magalie Potter.
Wet weather caused delays to practice sessions and the riders had to contend with gusty winds during their solo timed runs.
The time trials decide the seedings for the moto, or competition rounds.
Queensland's Rachel Bracken broke her ankle, but was cleared to fly home on Sunday with her team-mates.
