Top IAEA official inspects Iran’s nuclear installations
TEHRAN, Aug.24(MNA)-- The International Atomic Energy Organization (LAEA)deputy director general has recently inspected Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iranian ambassador to the IAEA Ali Asghar Soltanieh announced on Tuesday.
Herman Nackaerts, who is also the head of the IAEA Department of Safeguards, during a five-day trip to Iran last week, visited Iran’s nuclear facilities and met with Fereydoun Abbasi, director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Soltanieh said.
During his stay, Nackaerts took tours of inspection to the Fordo and Natanz enrichment facilities, the Arak heavy water reactor, Isfahan’s uranium conversion facility, and the Bushehr nuclear power plant, he added.
