Iran finishes 33rd at Universiade
Tehran, Aug. 24(MNA)--Iran finished in 33rd place at the 26th Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China.
The Iranian delegation won one gold medal, four silver medals, three bronze medals and eight medals in total.
China secured top spot in the medals table, bagging 75 golds, 39 silvers, 31 bronzes and 145 medals in total.
Russia came second with 42 golds, 45 silvers, 45 bronzes, winning 132 medals overall.
South Korea finished in third place with 28 golds, 21 silvers, 30 bronzes and 79 medals in total.
In the previous edition held in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, Iran finished in 11th place winning five golds, two silvers and one bronze.
