PRINT MEDIA STILL MAJOR SOURCE OF NEWS - MINISTER         

   KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 (Bernama) -- The print media is still relevant to the
older generation despite the advent of the alternative media, said Minister in
the Prime Minister's Department Dr Koh Tsu Koon.
    
    He said the print media was getting juicier, in terms of content, and was
still a major source of news.
    
    "Most of you are going into the internet and some even write their piece
immediately after a press conference. This has made the world to become smaller.
    
    "As a result, we need to have stronger values to hold us together," Koh said
at the Media Appreciation Night here Wednesday.
    
    Also present was National Unity and Integration Department director-general
Azman Amin Hassan.
    
    On Wednesday night's event was also enlivened by Koh's 62nd birthday
celebrations during which he was presented with a birthday cake.
