TAIWAN SUPERSTARS SET TO ROCK MUSIC FANS AT SUNDOWN FESTIVAL IN SINGAPORE

SINGAPORE, Aug 25 (Bernama) -- The wildly popular Sundown Festival is back
here again for its third year running in November.

The festival, which has featured some of the most sought-after solo artistes
and groups from Japan and South Korea previously, will add artistes from another
Asian music powerhouse, Taiwan, to its roster for the show on Nov 26.

The spotlight this year focuses on Taiwan’s Mandopop, showcasing popular
solo acts from Mandopop superstar Show Luo (Luo Zhixiang) , Hebe Tien (from
S.H.E) and a major crowd puller, Zhang Yun Jing, the winner of Super Idol first
season in 2008.

Zhang, with her tomboy looks, had risen to clinch several "Newcomer of the
Year" and Female Artiste awards across China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

To top off the star lineup, "visual-kei" Jrock band, ViViD, and newest Kpop
boy band sensation, Teen Top, have been invited to keep audiences on their feet.

Organised by Red Spade Entertainment, Sundown Festival 2011 will start at
5.30 pm at the F1 Pit Area.

Sundown Festival is a unique entertainment concept that aims to showcase the
best of Asia’s talent and diversity in music, musicians, culture and people,
said Festival Director (Programming) Samantha Chan.

"Through the Sundown Festival, we hope to bring about a sense of unity and
pride of being Asian, using the festival as a platform to support Asian music
and musicians. It is to cultivate interest and appreciation of Asian music and
cultures among supporters of the festival across the region."

Red Spade Entertainment director of Logistics & Planning, Kelvin Goh said
the company hoped to continue uniting Asia through its music, and in turn
position Singapore as an Asian music and cultural hub.
