Iranian students donate bottles of milk to Somali people
TEHRAN, Aug. 27(MNA)--Iran’s volunteer students will give their bottles of milk to Somali people which are suffering from famine and drought.
According to the Students Islamic Association, all volunteer students will give a bottle of milk and a packet of date to Somali people.
The plan was devised by the Students Islamic Association and the Youth Organization of the Red Crescent.
The students can donate their aid to the offices of the association until the end of Ramadan on Aug. 31.
Famine is declared when acute malnutrition rates among children exceed 30 percent, more than two people per 10,000 die per day, and people are not able to access food and other basic necessities, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
