Iranian theater critic Ahmadzadeh dies at 42
TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (MNA) -- Theater critic Alireza Ahmadzadeh died of heart failure on Thursday. He was 42.
Ahmadzadeh, whose articles were published in the Tehran Times Daily ten years ago, was one of veteran members of Iran’s National Association of Theater Critics.
His funeral procession will be held on Saturday starting from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Office of Alborz Province in Karaj and he will be buried in the Artists Section of Karaj’s Behesht-e Sakineh Cemetery.
Born in 1969 in Karaj, he got his M.A. in theater from Cinema and Theater Faculty of Tehran’s Art University. He wrote for several newspapers including Gozaresh-e Ruz, Mosharekat, Ruz-e Haftom and was the editor-in-chief of the theatrical magazine “Sahneh” from 2001 to 2002.
“Cinema Editors”, “Film Composers”, “Dictionary of Cinematic Terms” and “Dictionary of Theatrical Terms” are among his credits.
“No Thinking” and “By Night” are among his plays that have been published. His other plays “A Woman who decides to kill Her Husband”, “Windows” and “Tea and Newspaper” have not been published yet.
