Iran ready to send ambassador to Egypt : Iran FM
TEHRAN, Aug.28(MNA)-- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said about the latest developments in relations between Iran and Egypt, “We have announced that we are ready to send an ambassador to Egypt at the moment that the Egyptians announce their readiness.”
“The Egyptians are keen to have relations with Iran. We have also announced our interest. The two nations deserve to have deep and comprehensive relations,” Salehi stated.
“The strengthening of relations between Iran and Egypt will contribute to stability, security, and peace in the region,” he added.
Salehi also said, “We are sure that the level of relations will increase in the not too distant future… We should wait for the situation to develop so that the Egyptians can take a step forward.”
