'U.S. blames Iran for everything'
TEHRAN, Aug.28(MNA)--Iran`s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that the United States retained Iran, Syria, Sudan, and Cuba on a list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism on August 18, after blacklisting the countries the previous year.
The U.S. State Department said “Iran remained the most active state sponsor of terrorism in 2010,” citing “financial, material, and logistic support” for militant groups in the Middle East and Central Asia.
“World public opinion should judge such issues,” Salehi stated. “Is there anything remaining that the U.S. has not blamed Iran for?”
“Is our support of Hezbollah, which is legitimately defending its homeland, support for terrorism? Is our moral support of Hamas, whose country has been occupied, support for terrorism?”
“If this is the definition of terrorism, it should be revised,” he added.
