Tehran wraps up Intl. Holy Quran Exhibition

TEHRAN, Aug.28(MNA) -- The 19th edition of the International Holy Quran Exhibition concluded its one-month run on Friday, wrapping up a well-attended program with over two million visitors this year.

The ceremony was attended by Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi, Iranian MP Laleh Eftekhari and several other officials.

At the ceremony, the director of the festival Hojjatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi expressed his thanks to all organizers and sponsors of the event, especially Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

“Two million and 250 visitors attended this edition of the festival, which surpasses attendance at all previous editions,” he mentioned during the ceremony.

Afterward, Minister of Culture Hosseini made a short speech on the prominent place of the Quran exhibition in Iran and lauded different Quranic products that were offered during the showcase.

At the end of the ceremony, exhibit’s officials honored active figures in the Quranic fields as well as selected participants in different sections.

The International Holy Quran Exhibition was held from July 28 to August 26 at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla.
