UAE's Sharjah Charity hands out 50 thousand Iftar meals at Aqsa Mosque

Sharjah, Sep. 20th, 2008 (WAM) - UAE’s Sharjah Charity today said it has handed out more than fifty thousand Iftar meals at the yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

According to member of the board of the Charity Mohammed Hamdan Al-Zarri, Iftar programme at the holy site was a priority among other Charity's overseas projects during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Charity which conducts Iftar programmes in 36 countries in Asia and Africa has conducted the programme in support to Palestinians during Ramadan.

Iftar and food packages have been also distributed by the Charity to needy families in various Palestinian areas affected by current events in the occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT), added Al-Zarri.
