Turkish, Austrian pottery makers to attend Iranian biennial

TEHRAN, Sept. 5 (MNA) -- Pottery makers Ismail Yardimci from Turkey and Ronald Summer from Austria will attend the 10th Iranian Pottery, Ceramics, and Glassware Biennial.

They will hold one-day workshops and also explain about their techniques in creation of artworks during lectures at the biennial.

A selection of their works will go on display in an exhibition at the Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum during the biennial.

Sculpture, practical art, special techniques, ceramic designs and selected pottery artworks are some sections of the biennial which take place at the Imam Ali (AS)(the first Imam of Shia)Religious Arts Museum on October 14.

The selected artworks in cultural heritage and handicrafts will go on display at the Kumesh Cultural Center in Semnan.

Yardimci, the Head of Ceramic Department of the Fine Art Faculty of the Afyon Kocatepe University has held six personal exhibitions and attended 45 group showcases.

Summer is one of those artists whose work is definitely of an international standard and whose artistic creations are correspondingly sought-after.
