US NAVY COMMANDER HAS AUDIENCE WITH SELANGOR SULTAN

KLANG (Malaysia), Sept 6 (Bernama) -- Commander of Carrier Strike Group 3 of
the US Navy Rear Admiral Craig Faller Tuesday had an audience with the Sultan
of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Alam Shah Palace here.

The Sultan, who is honorary Captain-in-Charge of the Royal Malaysian Navy,
heard from Faller about the latest developments in the US Navy, according to a
statement from the palace.

Faller arrived in Malaysia in conjunction with the visit of warships
USS Mobile Bay, USS Dewey and USS Wayne E. Meyer and aircraft carrier USS John
C. Stennis which arrived on Sunday and are expected to dock in Port Klang until
Saturday.

Also present were Assistant Chief of Staff (Plans and Operations) Rear
Admiral Musa Omar, Commanding Officer of USS John C. Stennis Captain
Ronald Reis, USS Wayne E. Meyer Commanding Officer Commander Leo Albea and USS
Dewey Commanding Officer Commander John Howard.
