MALAYSIAN CUSTOMS AND ETIQUETTE BOOK TO PROMOTE CULTURAL TRADITIONS
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- An experienced speaker on Malaysian
protocol, etiquette and manners, customs and culture, Noor Aini Abdullah has
launched a new edition of the Malaysian Customs and Etiquette handbook to
promote Malaysian cultural traditions.
The book has come up with two new chapters, including Corporate Protocol
that aims to correct diplomatic and social usage of titles and ranks as well as
inculcate awareness and respect of primary Malaysian cultural traditions.
"To this end I have included a new chapter called Corporate Protocol which
attempts to provide the reader with practical and functional tips and
guideliness where no black and white do's and don'ts are yet available," she
said in her speech at the launching of the book, here Tuesday.
Another chapter was about Sabah and Sarawak, highlighting the culture and
tradition of the various ethnic groups there.
The new edition published by Marshall Cavendish is now available at all
leading bookstores in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. The Malaysian Customs and
Etiquette handbook was first published in 1991.
