Iranian FM meet Pakistan Senate chairman in Islamabad
TEHRAN, Sept. 7 (MNA) – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Farooq Hamid Naek in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Salehi arrived in the Pakistani capital on the same day to participate in the 18th meeting of Iran-Pakistan joint economic commission.
During the meeting, Salehi called for the expansion of relations between the two countries in all spheres.
He also called for an acceleration of efforts to implement the agreements signed between the two countries.
Naek said that the two countries have many affinities, which have paved the way for the strengthening of relations between Tehran and Islamabad.
He added that the holding of regular talks between Iranian and Pakistani officials and interactions between delegations indicate that both countries are determined to increase the level of ties.
