American film editor Walter Murch may join “Muhammad (S)” project
TEHRAN, Sept.10(MNA) -- Film editor and sound designer Walter Scott Murch will likely be hired for the Iranian film “Muhammad (S)”, a depiction of the Prophet’s life from the age of 12 until his appointment to prophethood.
Murch is planning to travel to Iran to meet director Majid Majid and some other member of the film crew in the near futer, the public relations office of the film told the Persian service of IRNA on Friday.
He won his first Academy Award nomination for “The Conversation”, won his first Oscar for “Apocalypse Now”, and won a double Oscar for sound and film editing for his work on “The English Patient”.
The American visual effects supervisor and filmmaker Scott Anderson, the Italian director of photography Vittorio Storaro, the Croat production designer Miljen Kreka Kljakovic, the Italian makeup artist Giannetto De Rossi and several other world famous cineastes have agreed to work on this project.
