U.S. government was involved in 9/11 attacks: IRGC general
TEHRAN, Sept. 11(MNA) – An Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander said on Saturday there is ample evidence that the U.S. government was involved in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Masoud Jazayeri said, “There is plenty of documentation showing that the U.S. government system and other global capitalist systems were involved in the planning of the incident which took place on September 11, 2001.
“And what has so far prevented the people of this country from putting their criminal officials on trial is the influence of the Zionist media, which unfortunately do not allow U.S. people to realize the painful and behind-the-scenes realities of the governing system of the country.”
“The documentation shows that the U.S. government needed to give the world a great shock to pave the way for the establishment of a unipolar world and its absolute authority over the world,” and that it had been seeking to use the issue of the September 11 attacks to attain its objectives, the most important of which was to establish a new Middle East, the brigadier general added.
Jazayeri also said that the people in the United States and other countries should ask the U.S. government why it has so far failed to shed light on various aspects of the incident and only pointed a finger of blame at Muslims and sullied their names by labeling them terrorists through dissemination of propaganda.
