Two-state solution, a bid to save Israel: Iranian MP

TEHRAN, Sept.12(MNA)-- Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said the United Nations has accepted to examine the bid for Palestinian statehood to save the Zionist regime.

MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in response to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon who has recently supported a two-state solution.

Representatives of various Palestinian factions on Thursday delivered a letter to Ban in support of accepting a Palestinian state as a full member of the UN.

“Putting forward such proposals and examining them by international organizations are aimed at putting out Palestinian’ flame of anger against the Zionist regime in order to ensure the security of this regime in the region,” Boroujerdi noted.

“Over the past few decades, the nature of the Zionist regime has been revealed and the Palestinian people have realized that they can restore their trampled rights only through campaigning and putting up resistance,” he said.
