Ukraine book fair currently underway in Tehran library
TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (MNA) -- The Iran National Library and Archives (INLA) is holding a Ukraine book fair at the venue of the library from September 10.
INLA Director Es’haq Eslahi, Ukrainian Ambassador to Tehran Alexander Samaraski, Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelian and several officials attended the opening ceremony of the book fair on Saturday.
At the ceremony, Eslahi made a short speech on relations between Iran and the Ukraine and pointed to an agreement signed between the national libraries of the two countries in a previous year.
“All ILNA’s books that have been written by Ukrainian authors are on display at the book fair in four categories,” he mentioned.
Afterward, Samaraski talked about the importance of books as the basis of humanity calling the book fairs in Tehran a major step in developing cultural ties between the two countries.
