Iranian cineastes on Georgian festival jury
TEHRAN, Sept. 18 (MNA) -- Iranian filmmakers Dariush Mehrjuii and Mohammad Atebbaii are among the jury members of the various sections of the Batumi International Art House Film Festival(BIAFF), which opened with Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” in the Georgian Republic on Saturday.
Mehrjuii is a member of the BIAFF International Feature Film Competition jury. “Golchehreh”, directed by Vahid Musaian, will be screening in this section, the organizers announced in the festival’s website.
The organizers of the festival have arranged special screenings for Mehrjuii’s “Leila” and “Pear Tree”.
Atebbaii has been selected for the International Short Film Competition jury of the event. “Into Thin Air” directed by Mohammadreza Farzad is competing in this section.
“Way to Home” (1981) by Georgian filmmaker Alexander Rekhviashvili will be the closing film of the festival on September 24.
