KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The Pakistan High Commission has urged the Pakistani community in Malaysia to donate food and other necessary items to provide relief to over five million people affected by devastating floods in Sindh province.

Pakistan's High Commissioner to Malaysia, Masood Khalid, said the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan had forwarded a list of items required for the flood victims.

They include high energy biscuits, family tents (both normal and
winterised), blankets, plastic sheets, mosquito nets, water purification
equipment and tablets, medicines, hygiene kits and de-watering pumps.

In a statement, he said the mission had opened the Prime Minister's Flood Relief account for cash donations for the affected people.
