Moral security ensures national progress: Supreme Leader
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Iran’s progress depends on moral, social, and psychological security in society.
The Leader made the remarks in an address at a graduation ceremony for cadets of the Police Academy held in Tehran on Tuesday.
“One of the methods that the global arrogance (forces of imperialism) employ to confront independent nations is to create social insecurity as well as moral and psychological insecurity,” the Leader stated.
Iran’s enemies are making efforts to undermine the moral foundations of society through encouraging the use of drugs and promoting permissiveness and religious laxity, and the police shoulder a great responsibility to thwart such efforts, he added.
The Leader also reviewed units of the Iranian armed forces on parade.
Prior to the Leader’s speech, National Police Chief Ismail Ahmadi Moqaddam delivered a speech in which he spoke about the achievements of the National Police in recent years.
