Iran designing new missile system similar to S-300
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) – Iranian commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbiya military base Farzad Ismaili said the military base in cooperation with the Defense Ministry is designing a missile system similar to the Russian S-300.
The system called ‘Bavar-373” is an upgraded version of the Russian system which will use two or three different missiles, Ismaili told .
Russia signed a contract in 2007 to sell the S-300 missile system to Iran, but it has not delivered the missiles so far.
