Iran`s new director of Office for Dramatic Arts appointed
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) -- Ali Dashtegoli was appointed acting director of the General Office for Dramatic Arts.
Former director Mosafer Astaneh quit his job on September 3 due a divergence of opinion between him and Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi in the way of administration. His resignation was accepted last week.
Rahmat Amini was also assigned as the secretary of the 30th Fajr International Theater Festival, the report added. Former secretary Mohammad Heidari quit his job in late August, but gave no reason for his resignation.
A number of Iranian stage artists have sent letters to Shahabadi, asking him to explain about the resignations at his office. However, there have been no replies to these letters so far.
