Persian book readers to enjoy Márquez’s notes and speeches

TEHRAN, Sept. 22(MNA) -- Notes and speeches made by Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel García Márquez will be available in two volumes in Persian in the near future.

Translated by Bahman Farzaneh, the Salis Publications will release “I Didn’t Come to Give a Speech” and “Maritime Notes”.

“Maritime Notes” contains the author’s notes on politics, literature, art and social issues. However the majority of his notes are on cinema and literature.

Speeches that Márquez made after winning the Nobel Prize are compiled in the book “I Didn’t Come to Give a Speech”.

Farzaneh has previously translated “Five-Year Notes” which was also a compilation of Márquez’s notes.
