BN DELIVERS CHANGE, SAYS M'SIAN PM

KUALA SELANGOR (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib

Razak said Thursday the willingness to bring change to the country will help to
win support from the people.

A government daring to effect change opens the minds of the people and gives
them fresh hope, he said at a meeting of Barisan Nasional (National Front -
BN)leaders and the people in conjunction with Aidilfitri celebrations here.

"We will not promise change. We will bring change and deliver change," the
BN chairman and United Malays National Organisation (Umno) president told the
gathering of more than 10,000 people.

Najib said that BN had to work harder to win the general election especially
in Selangor where the contest is expected to be stiffer this time.

He stressed the importance of fielding credible candidates in the general
election who he said were humble before the people and could get close to them.

Najib said the opposition had spoken of reformation, but had got nowhere and
not kept many of the promises they made to the people.
