DAMASCUS (A.A) - September 23, 2011 - Turkish Cooperation & Development Agency of Turkey (TIKA) has distributed stationery to students in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syrian capital Damascus.
Under a campaign launched by TIKA and Palestine Charity Organization, the agency provided Palestinian children with school uniforms and stationery.
Emre Yuksek, coordinator of TIKA in Damascus, told the A.A correspondent on Friday that they would continue supporting Palestinian people.
"We have been trying to carry out our activities under very difficult conditions because of anti-regime demonstrations in Syria for the last six months. But, we are going to maintain our relief campaigns. We will distribute stationery and school uniforms to students in the cities of Hama, Hummus and Aleppo at the weekend," he said.
Yuksek added that they had distributed 3,700 school uniforms, 3,700 school bags, 26,000 notebooks and several stationery worth of $75 thousand so far.
