Number of French tourists in Turkey breaks record
PARIS (A.A) – September 24, 2011 – The number of French tourists visiting Turkey in 2011 broke a record.
Turkish Tourism and Culture Counselor in Paris Hasan Yavuz told A.A on Saturday that the number of French tourists, who visited Turkey between January and September period in 2011, increased 45 percent to 1.2 million when compared the same period of 2010.
After Germany, Russia, Britain, Iran and Bulgaria, France became the sixth country which sent highest number of tourists to Turkey in 2011, he added.
