TEHRAN, Sept. 25 (MNA)-- During a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, which was also held in New York, the French minister said Paris is ready to hold face-to-face talks with Tehran.

He also called on Iran to continue its negotiations with the 5+1 group.

He said that his country respects Iran’s right to utilize peaceful nuclear energy within the framework of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Salehi also pointed to the history of Iran-France relations and said Tehran’s policy on expansion of ties with other countries is based on mutual respect and shared interests.
