First days of school in Iran spiced by Tabriz Intl. Book Fair
TEHRAN,Sept.27(MNA)-- The 9th Tabriz International Book Fair will open in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, tomorrow, on the Wednesday of the first week of the Iranian school year.
About one thousand Iranian and foreign publishers will participate in the book fair, director of East Azerbaijan Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Danandeh mentioned in a press conference.
Representatives from Britain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, India and Arab neighbor countries will participate at the book fair, he added.
Over 100,000 books on different subjects including science, literature, history, technical, academic and children book will be offered at the fair, Danandeh added.
Regarding the beginning of the Iranian school year, the fair is an opportunity for school children and students to meet their needs for textbooks, he said.
All books will be offered at a 40% discount and some amenities, like packing and shipping parcels of books, will be offered at the book fair, he mentioned.
The book fair will run until October 4 at the Tabriz Permanent Fairgrounds
