260 INJURED IN SHANGHAI'S METRO LINE TRAIN COLLISION
SHANGHAI, Sept 27 (Bernama) -- Two subway trains were involved in a
rear-ended collision, resulting in 260 passengers injured on Tuesday afternoon.
According to local news network eastday.com., the incident occurred at about 2.50pm on Metro Line 10 between Laoximen and Yuyuan Garden stations.
As the police evacuated other passengers from the tunnel, the injured were sent to four nearby hospitals.
As a result of the collision, train services between the Hongqiao Road Station and Tiantong Road Station were suspended.
According to the news report, Metro Line 10 trains ran at low speeds between Jiao Tong University Station and Nanjing Road E Station due to a signal breakdown.
