INTERNATIONAL DESIGN WEEK OPENS IN BEIJING
BEIJING, Sept 27 (Bernama) -- An International Design Week, themed 'Design Beijing', opened here on Monday.
It is aimed at creating design awareness in China and strengthen ties with the rest of the world in the creative industry.
More than 200 world-famous designers from London, Milan, Copenhagen,
Helsinki and Seoul attended the event, according to a statement issued by the organising committee.
Over 500,000 people are expected to attend the event which will end on Oct 3, it said.
It is sponsored by the education and culture ministries, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Beijing Government.
