2 SINGAPOREANS, 2 OTHERS NABBED FOR ALLEGED DRUG TRAFFICKING IN MALAYSIA
JOHOR BAHARU (Malaysia), Sept 27 (Bernama) -- Local police say two
Singaporean men, a Chinese national woman and a local man were arrested at a hotel in Taman Pelangi here last Friday in connection with drug trafficking.
Johor police chief Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Sharif said the police seized 501 grams of syabu worth RM125,250 (US$39,819) and 63 grams of cannabis worth RM1,500 (US$476.9) from the suspects aged between 33 and 46.
They are remanded for one week until Friday.
The local suspect has previous criminal records under Section 411 of the Penal Code and the Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985, Mokhtar said here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, he said the police arrested a 41-year-old Singaporean man and seized 500 Erimin 5 pills in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah last Thursday.
The suspect is remanded for six days until Wednesday.
